|Over the years, we have been of service to those who want to copy or improve a product which has already been engineered for use. The item may have worn out or fractured and the client cannot find a new replacement.
We can determine what the metal is composed of through a spectrographic analysis. Tensile or hardness tests can tell us how strong the metal is. By viewing the microstructure, the type of heat treatment can be determined so that the new part can be hardened to improve strength and wear resistance.
Reverse engineering is especially useful to small machine shops who have the task of reproducing new parts.
